Despite Bailouts, Fannie & Freddie Lose Billions, Engage in Fraud, Want More Taxpayer Money

Want more proof the economy is nowhere near a 'recovery?'

Just look at Fannie and Freddie.

And that is precisely what we do today at Conservative Examiner.

And despite the fraud and ineptitude at these government mortgage giants, Obama and company had rather focus on Toyota and private corporations.

Ultra-Leftwing Southern Poverty Law Center Wants to Interview Vanderboegh and Gets the Smack-down

From time to time I have written about the Southern Poverty Law Center in Montgomery, Alabama, the group that fronts as a legal advocacy group for the poor but is actually an ultra-Leftwing subversive organization.

There is no Leftwing cause that SPLC will not promote. And they regularly malign liberty-and-freedom individuals and groups as a matter of course.

When a spokesman for the group appeared on Fox News' Bill O'Reilly's show several weeks back, he took the opportunity to blast Oath Keepers, accusing them of being a right-wing terrorist outfit that seeks the overthrow of the U.S. Government.

Mike Vanderboegh, for his part, wrote several articles blasting SPLC for such a charge and exposing their many underhanded methods of undercutting freedom-loving individuals and organizations.

It appears the group now wants to interview Vanderboegh.

The last time SPLC did an article on Vanderboegh it turned into a hit piece that ripped the freedom-fighter to shreds.

But Mike himself can tell this story much better than I can. Here is his exchange with SPLC.

Folks,

I learned from WVTM the other day that SPLC is doing another hit piece on me. I had already agreed to do an interview with them to discuss the Southern Preposterous Lie Center when I received this:

To: GeorgeMason1776@aol.com
Sent: Fri, Feb 26, 2010 1:23 pm
Subject: interview request

Mr. Vanderboegh:

I am writing an article about you and the Three Percenters for the Southern Poverty Law Center’s Intelligence Report magazine. I wanted to speak to you about the organization and to fact check some details. I won’t need much of your time. I can be reached at the number below during normal business hours.

Thank you for your time,

Jamie Kizzire
Southern Poverty Law Center
(334) 956-8264

I responded, quite reasonably I thought given past history, thusly:

From: georgemason1776@aol.com

My dear Jamie,

Piss on you lying bastards and the fact-challenged horse you rode in on. What do you need my input for? You scum-suckers have been lying about, eliding and conflating the facts about me and my friends for 15 years now. You do just fine making it up as you go along. Tell the Montgomery castrato, your boss Potok, that the only things I want to talk to you pukes about are:

a.the snitch you had inside Elohim City in 1995 and why he didn't warn us of the ARA plot to blow up the OKC federal building and

b. why you bottom feeders gave political cover in the NYT to those racist pukes in the ATF at the time of the Good O' Boys Roundup by lying about the validity of the Gadsden Minuteman tape.

I'll tell you what. You be awful careful this time about what you write, because -- unlike the 90s or even a few years ago when you dubbed me a "nativist" (as if you knew what that word meant) -- I now have volunteer lawyers who are itching to sue your ass. And I guarantee you, I'll find discovery one hell of a lot more fun than you will. Maybe we'll even finally get to the bottom of the Maureen Bass Dees divorce complaint. In fact, I'll ask for a jury made up of all Civil Rights foot solders. They HATE your lying, thieving, pimping, pasty white asses for sticking like leeches onto their righteous struggle. Southern "Poverty" Law Center indeed.

But by all means, you lying, conflationist bastards, have at it. Just don't expect me to assist you.

Oh, yeah. Thank you in advance for all the free publicity.

Mike Vanderboegh

c: to WVTM (see you Monday for the interview)

Given the nature of the persons he is dealing with, I would say Mike's response is highly appropriate, wouldn't you say?

Time for some sobering plain talk on the economy.

And you will find it today at Conservative Examiner.

Conservatives can win the day at the summit if they stick to a very simple, straightforward plan. Read for details.

The Liberty Sphere Report--Marx or Madison? (VIDEO)

Karl Marx seems to be more popular in this administration than our Founders, such as James Madison.

In this video report, Conservative Examiner takes a look at the issue against the backdrop of Glenn Beck's speech before CPAC this weekend.

This is one of the most important issues we face as Americans today.

CPAC in Pictures

The lovely Pamela Geller of Atlas Shrugs fame has shared some great photos from the CPAC meeting in Washington, DC this weekend.

Some highlights--Senator Jim DeMint, Andrew Breitbart, the great Robert Spencer, and of course, Geller herself.

"Surviving the Road"

I don't think anyone would disagree with the assertion that this winter has been one for the record books in every single area of the United States, except perhaps for Hawaii.

Many Americans nonetheless are forced to travel on the nation's roads no matter how unsafe the weather conditions. Usually this is due to one's job. But in other cases it may be a family emergency or some other domestic matter of extreme urgency.

For those who do not live in colder areas of the nation, traveling in winter is not normally associated with grave danger. But when those citizens are forced to take to the roads in areas of the country that are hit with dangerously low temperatures and blizzard conditions, little do they know that being prepared is absolutely necessary for survival.

Brigid at Home on the Range provides an excellent treatise on being prepared when one has to take to the road in extremely cold wintry weather.

What, for example, do you do if your car breaks down in sub-zero temps during a blizzard? What do you do when you are stranded by snow? What if you have an accident on the road as a result of the weather?

In vast areas of the country during winter, walking just a quarter of a mile in extreme weather can kill you. Brigid shows you how to avoid it.

WRSA: 'Where Are the New Ellsbergs?'

Western Rifle Shooters Association presents a highly informative and thought-provoking piece today on Daniel Ellsberg and his disclosure of 'The Pentagon Papers' during the Viet Nam War, and the lack of modern-day Ellsbergs to step forward and decry what law enforcement and military personnel are being forced to do in today's political climate.

Here is an excerpt that should sufficiently heighten your sense of curiosity:

As this country lurches along its deteriorating path in the greatest long-term threat to American liberty since the 1861-1865 Recent Unpleasantness, where are today's Ellsbergs?

I am both unsuprised and yet still appalled by the law enforcement reactions to Mike's recent "Choose Whom You Will Serve" essay. I worked with enough local, state, and Federal law enforcement types during my career to know which way the bulk of those folks will turn come Der Tag.

On that large majority, I will waste no more breath. They have made their choices and so must live with the consequences for themselves and their families, as must I.

But as to the remaining LEOs who do not use their badge and their position as a club against their fellow citizens, I must ask:

If Ellsberg had the courage to do what he did, why haven't you done the same?
